Last Friday, I finalized my transition out of my full-time executive role at Prado. It’s been an incredible experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunities and relationships built along the way.

Introducing Hedgehog Growth Partners
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Hedgehog Growth Partners. Drawing on my last 15 years of experience with Southeast-based SaaS companies, I’ve developed a playbook uniquely suited to growing companies navigating today’s market conditions.

Why Now?
As interest rates are rising, so is the "risk-free rate of capital." Simply put, investors can now get venture capital-level returns with much safer investments like U.S. Treasury bonds, short-term bonds, and CDs.
When investing in B2B SaaS Companies, investors are now looking for "top 10%" performance to justify the higher risk that comes with investing in growth.
The most innovative, captivating, and cutting-edge companies will always have access to venture capital. Yet, there are amazing organizations with incredible products that need to adopt new principles of capital-efficient and scalable growth to continue their mission. I’m here to help them navigate this landscape.
The Southeast-based companies I’ve worked with have operated without the capital resources often available in markets like San Francisco, New York, or Boston. For the last 15 years, we’ve been building durable, resilient businesses. While challenging, these experiences have galvanized our ability to achieve incremental, sustainable growth.
My Focus with Hedgehog Growth Partners
Target Clients: B2B SaaS companies in any market under $50 million in Annual Recurring Revenue, growing under 300% per year.
Our Growth-Focused Approach:
Strategic Growth Projects: Primarily I’m focused on identifying efficient growth opportunities, helping companies make strategic bets, and seeing them through.
Hands-On Execution: Unlike traditional consultants, I’ll be in the details, driving execution in a fractional contribution role that’s laser-focused on ROI, impact, and swift payback.
Flexible Engagement Models: To make getting started easy (and economical!) I’m offering advisory services as a bridge to growth projects. I’m also planning to offer fractional and interim executive support to bridge specific scenarios or transitions to full-time hires.
Why “Hedgehogs”?
Inspired by Jim Collins’s Hedgehog Concept from his seminal work, Good to Great, HGP embodies the commitment to capital efficiency, durable growth, and building sustainable, focused businesses. Plus, let’s be honest—hedgehogs are adorable, and the caps and vests will be fantastic!
Looking Down the Road
Hedgehog Growth Partners is more than just a consultancy; it’s a platform and brand I hope to continue building with the mission of helping B2B SaaS companies grow and succeed. By aligning around differentiated value and uniting technical and revenue teams, we’re poised to help companies thrive, even in challenging economic conditions. Hopefully one day soon, HGP will be more than just one guy, a laptop and a co-working membership 🙂
